Taking a Phone Call

Hello Everyone, This week I chose the prompt, make a phone call and diagram the conversation. Even though on that day I had made a few phone calls, they were not interesting, they were more how are you. So ironically I had received a phone call that was a little more interesting and a little more humorous. "Hey you left your apparatus in the lab and it is going off, do you want to come grab it?" -Caller Now in my head at this point I was like okay I was in Blackington today maybe I dropped something and someone took it to a lab but nothing I had on me would be going off. "Um what lab?" -Me "Is this Mitch?" -Caller "Yes it is" -Me "Do you want to come pick it up at the lab?" -Caller "Um..." -Me "I think I have the wrong number... Sorry" -Caller "I think so too but it is all good" -Me And then we hung up and I went on with my day. Then about 15 to 20 minutes later I received a test messag

Once Upon A Time

Hello Everyone, For this weeks journal entry I chose "Once Upon A Time". Now with this one, it was a fill in the blank story. So I wrote a story and I am going to tell you it. Now the bold words are the ones that were already written down. There was a Tau commander named Farsight. Every day he travels farther and farther into space to find new territories and planets for his enclaves. One day  he land on a strange new world. On this new planet he finds a portal and decides to travel through it. Because of that he becomes lost as the portal closes behind him and needs to find his way back. Until finally...  well I wrote the ending but I don't think I should share that and there is a reason why. In class we were instructed to conceive a narrative within a digital environment and early we were separated into four groups based on four of the larger forms of social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. I am in the Twitter group. So based on the assignment, I

A Reminder to Smile

Hello Everyone, This week I chose the prompt where the page was blank and it said to ask the closet person to you what to do with this page. They said draw a smiley face and so a smiley face I drew. After I drew the face it made me think, do I smile enough. Now admittedly that is a pretty cheesy question to ask oneself but I can raise other questions. These thoughts can be based off of last weeks blog, Questions...Why Do We Ask Them, so feel free to read that one before this, https://mit48.blogspot.com/2017/09/questionswhy-do-we-ask-them.html. With the world we live in, it has been not the happiest of place. With all the recent terror attacks and hate groups, I think we need to remind our selves how lucky we can be. I find amusement in the little things, that is what makes me smile. Find what makes you smile, find what makes you happy. If you have found it then use it. I think we all need to remember to smile or find that one thing that makes us happy. Then at the end of the day, d

Questions...Why Do We Ask Them?

Hello Everyone, For the first week's prompt I chose "10 questions I have". Thinking about it, we all have more than just 10 questions. Each question can have a level of complexity too, is it serious, is it comical, or just a simple we want to know the answer. For example, one question I wrote down was "Am I over thinking". I think we can all agree, that is a difficult question and there are multiple variables to that answer. A lighter question was "What am I going to do for dinner". That can vary on the options, where is there to eat, what am I in the mood for. But besides what the question truly is, why do we ask them? I think the one main answer to why we ask questions is we want to learn. Being a college student, almost every syllabus day the professor always says if we have a question ask. We are paying enough money for this education so asking questions is almost crucial for us to take advantage of it. Asking questions can then build off what
